The Cytonote Scan (figure 56) provides real-time monitoring of cell cultures in multi-well plates directly in the incubator. Based on patented lens-free imaging technology, it allows precise analysis with an extremely wide field of view of several thousand cells without focusing and brightness parameters. Images are analyzed in number of cells or in percentage of confluence. The applications are numerous such as:
— cell proliferation by counting or measuring objective confluence;
— cell migration analysis, mobility and healing;
— monitoring of stem cell differentiation (differentiation, morphology...);
— organization of cell populations (angiogenesis, formation of neuron networks...);
— cell attachment/detachment;
— spheroid diameter.
Data acquisition is done with the Horus software.
